What is Group Voicemail and how do I use it?
Optus Group Voicemail enables you to instantly send one voicemail message to a select group of people.
It’s perfect for those times that you need to get a message out to a group of people such as your sales force.
Why would I want to use Optus Group Voicemail?
Optus Group Voicemail extends your regular voicemail with the added features listed below:

Create voice messages that can be sent quickly to multiple people.

Create up to 20 personal distribution lists with up to 200 members in each list, therefore saving you time when sending multiple messages.

Your most urgent messages can be played back first to help you prioritise calls.

The capacity to store 40 messages for up to 10 days once you have read them and unread messages for 28 days means you don’t
-
need to worry about missing a message.

Forward Voicemail messages to groups of other Voicemail users on the Optus Mobile Network.

Identify who has listened to your message by requesting a return receipt
How Do I Use Optus Group Voicemail?
Before you set up Optus Group Voicemail, you will need to request to have the Optus Group Voicemail feature activated on your mobile service. You can do this by contacting your provider
How to set up and modify your group lists from your mobile:
You can only attach existing Optus 321 Voicemail users to your group lists, all other mobile numbers are not available for this feature.
STEP 1
DIal 3 2 1
STEP 2
PRESS 8 this will take you to the User Options Menu
STEP 3
PRESS 5 for distribution lists then slect one of the following options
PRESS 2 to create a list
OR
PRESS 3 to delete a list
PRESS 4 name a list
PRESS 6 modify a list
If you have chosen to Modify a list you will hear the following options:
PRESS 2 to add a member
PRESS 3 to delete a member
PRESS 5 to listen to the list of members
PRESS 9 exit the system
How to send a message to a group from your mobile
STEP 1
DIal 3 2 1
STEP 2
PRESS 6 to send a new message
You will then be asked to enter the Distribution list number or mailbox number you wish to send the message to. For example press 1 for your first distribution list
STEP 3
You will then be asked to record your message
STEP 4
Once you have finished your recording you will hear the following choices:
PRESS 2 to edit
PRESS 6 to send
PRESS 4 for delivery options
STEP 5
If you have selected Delivery Options you will hear the following choices:
PRESS 3 for type (type of message eg: mark message urgent)
PRESS 6 to send
STEP 6
If you select Type you will hear the following message addressing options:
PRESS 2 to mark message confidential
PRESS 4 mark standard
PRESS 7 to request receipt
PRESS 8 to mark message urgent
PRESS 9 to cancel
PRESS # to end
Note: When you add or Delete a member in your Group lists, use the full mobile number as the Mailbox number
